Being a nail technician is an exciting, challenging and rewarding career but to be successful in this growing industry it is important to develop technical skills to a high level and then continually refine and improve upon them. There is no secret to success. It is, and always has been EDUCATION. Education is the key to confidence in creating beautiful nails and running or being part of a successful business. It is important to get as much education as you can - lean the different nail systems and regularly update your knowledge by attending further education courses, read trade magazines and books and attend trade shows. This will improve your knowledge and skills and greatly increase your confidence.

Tammy Taylor Acrylic Foundation Course Course fee £425+vat / three days Using a superior quality product, learn how to create a beautiful set of nail enhancements using tips and a single colour overlay. Acrylic nails are strong, flexible, thin and natural looking. They are especially good for heavy-handed clients or those with bitten or irregular nail shapes, as these can easily be corrected using the acrylic system. This course takes place over three days (two days consecutive and one two weeks later) and covers anatomy and physiology of the natural nail; health and safety issues; natural nail preparation; tip application; product application and maintenance of the nail enhancement. Included in the course fee is a comprehensive training kit and training book. Working materials are provided for the duration of the course and all products are available to purchase from Taylor-Maid.
Tammy Taylor Advanced Acrylic Course Course fee £100+vat / one day This course is designed for the experienced nail technician wishing to increase their knowledge. Proof of qualification will be required. The course covers French tips with a one colour overlay, a permanent French Manicure using tips and two-colour acrylic overlay, the art of free form sculpting, rebalancing, maintenance and troubleshooting. Working materials are provided for the duration of the course and all products are available to purchase from Taylor-Maid.
Tammy Taylor Acrylic Conversion Course Course fee £100+vat / one day The course is designed to introduce you to a different product or add a new system to your existing service menu. By offering as many services as you can and using quality products, your clients will never have any reason to go elsewhere! This course assumes that the student has knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the natural nail; health and safety issues; natural nail preparation and tip application. However, all these topics will be touched upon briefly before commencing product training in your chosen system. Conversion courses are only available for qualified nail technicians. Tammy Taylor Electric Filing Course fee £60+vat / half day Taylor-Maid's tutor teach the correct and safe use of the electric file. This course is tailor-made to your requirements and can include such things as 'safe' backfills, rebalancing and finishing. used correctly, electric filing will decrease your service times and increase revenue. As electric filing is specialised and advanced, this course is only available on a one to one basis and for experienced technicians only. Proof of qualification will be required. One to One Training Fee £75+vat per hour Receive individual training from our senior educator. One to one training is available for any of the above courses or any area of nails that you feel you need extra help with. Working on a one to one basis gives you the benefit of our undivided attention and allows you to work at your own pace on a course designed specifically for your particular needs.
